Wooded Residence in Chapel Hill

This A-Frame sits atop a boxed-out, finished basement upon a sloping hillside in the woods of Chapel Hill, NC. The design was carefully thought out by Paul Snow of Yates-Greene and Ryan Edwards of Filter Design, further refined by builder Rob Fielder on the site. Sunshine and treetop views are welcomed in via skylights. A metal roof allows for strong protection from forest debris and a shimmering soundscape in a rainstorm. The home finds a balance of elegance and coziness, while embracing functionality and efficiency. No room goes under-utilized here.
